2011 Ford Explorer- More Features To Love

*Power Fold Third Row Seat- I'm not even going to try to hide how much i loved this feature. While i would likely keep these seats hidden most of the time, when i did want them up it was very easy to do- even one handed.  There is absolutely no reason you should not have this feature.  Gone are the days where you might have stored this extra third row in your garage. It isn't a huge seating space, but does get the job done in a pinch.

Operation- 3rd Row Seat

*Heated & Cooled Seats- I also really like heated seats.  Nothing is better than having a heated seat in the middle of winter (and we have a lot of winter around here!).  This 2011 Ford Explorer had an option i have not yet encountered:  the 'Cooled' seat. I cannot see how much use i would have for this feature, mostly because ol' Alberta isn't exactly rockin' the hot-humid temps i might really enjoy a cooled seat in.  But living almost anywhere else, this is definitely a fantastic feature on a hot summer day!

*Park Assist- I will not lie...  I did not use this feature.  I meant to, i really did.  But, in my defense it only serves purpose for those wishing to parallel park.  I rarely find a need to parallel park these days.  I meant to find a spot and try it out... but was having so much fun DRIVING the Explorer that i forgot.  I am pretty sure it would be a useful feature, if you had to do the parallel more often in a busy city.

*Rear Inflate Seatbelts- Debuting on the 2011 Ford Explorer, Ford's newest safety technology is winning high acclaim. Ford’s inflatable rear seat belts spread crash forces over five times more area of the body than conventional seat belt. The seatbelts are designed to provide additional protection for rear seat occupants, who are often children and older passengers who can be more vulnerable to head, chest and neck injuries.  Compatible with child carseats.

If we made the money to afford a new car, I would totally pick this one. How exciting about the heated seats, and the inflatable seat belts and the park assist and most of all the third row seating. I really REALLY want a third row so that when my parents come to visit, they can get in the car with us (instead of following us). They live about 2 hours away so, I feel bad for them to have to get back in the car to follow us because we only have a Ford Escort Zx2 that is over 10 years old and has over 130,000 miles.

Yeah, we are totally in the market for a new car.

Hey Ford, can you hook a blogger up?
