Sunday In My City~ A Little Too Much Nature this week...

The kitty...

that came home with a live birdie dangling from her mouth.

Or the Wasps Nest...
discovered a few weeks ago...
but now in a colder, safer, dormant state.
Burn, baby, burn!
I sorta feel bad....sorta.

Our two cats are always bringing something live back home. Birds, mice, etc. And I never feel bad about eliminating those wasp nests.

My dad got attacked by hornets over the summer. He has no idea where the nest was, but he was mowing the lawn on his rider and all of a sudden he was swarmed by hundreds....he only got stung twice, but ....yikes!

Yikes! There's another reason why I don't have a cat :-)
Hope you got to roast some marshmallows in your fire.

We had a cat who used to bring us frogs. I've read that when they do that they are showing you how much they love us, by bringing us food.

Those poor birdies! I used to hate it when my kittie would bring them home!

My cats are always bring "treats" home lol. They are good hunters and I love them for it. But I have to tell you that you are luckier than you know because that isn't a wasp nest. that is either a hornet or yellow jacket nest. Wasps have the nests where you see all the holes kind of like a honey comb type look to it.

Oh man were u able to get the bird away from the cat? My cat used to bring home little mice and I would have to get up in the middle of the night and catch them and put them back outside..lol I know she ment well but man.

I did manage to get the bird away, before Miss Kitty killed it!
Oh I hate bees. We have wasps outside our door the last 2 years. I got stung last week. I am gonna make some big noise if the landlord does not take care of it next year. I hate bees.

Back in the day when we left a small window open for our cat to come and go from the closed in porch, we woke one morning to find nothing but feathers and a gizzard strewn all over the porch--no sign of either the cat or the bird.
