Sundays In My City

**To any new followers: I normally do not go so picture crazy...but we really had a day filled with so many photo-op moments! If you feel like showing others what happens where you live, join Unknown Mami and others every Sunday. We'd love to see what is happening in your neck of the woods!**

ROADTRIP! The sun was shining and something just said it would be a beautiful day! So we packed er' into the car and were off to the mountains!

All good car consoles require an *extra* pair of sunglasses...you know, in case you forget yours? Ha, ha...joke is on us in this ride...RayBans circa 1989.

A good roadtrip also requires the customary Tim Horton's stop. Ah, double doubles (large, two cream, two sugar coffees) and Canada donuts~ so good to be a Canuck!

Ghost Lake hosts ice sailing. It is always a beautiful place to stop and see what is going on.

No ideas where everyone was at this time, but the frozen sunny calm was inviting.

Arriving in Canmore, being greeted by the "Three Sisters". They were definitely not shopping on this day! (As locals might say when they are clouded in.)

Chuckledhead Xman...looking.so.much.like.his.DaddyO.in.THIS.hat!! Melt my heart!

What Canucks do on sunny days in the middle of February. Why not put on snowpants, a hat and some big boots and go chain-sawing happy on a piece of ice?

This is why... icy artwork!

Miss Beebo (almost 4), fashionista extraordinaire!

Notice the iron?

Moi and girlie at lunch!

MOST towns & cities REMOVE the snow from streets in winter. Um... we put it there on purpose?? World Cup Cross-Country skiing was in town at the Nordic Centre, so they made snowy tracks down Main Street for fun!

Some kiddos testing it out!

A little further down the road, the dog/kiddo mushing competition was about to begin! That is Grotto Mountain in the background.

Meeting up with some family!

Ready...set...

GO!!!

Good ol' Canmore~ we absolutely adore this town!~

Lovely photos. Ice sailing is not something I've heard of before but it makes perfect sense in a place with regular winter freezes. :)

I go picture crazy, so I like that, and these are great, looks like a fun day!
Road trips are awesome! But wait a sec...they had to put snow on the streets? They should've just had their shindig on my street, considering we were just deluged by a snowstorm. Come check out my blog for Sunday's in My City, you'll see for yourself. :-) Thanks for sharing! That little town looks oh-so quaint.

Despite the cold that I abhor, it does look like a lot of fun. I love the mountains in the background of the town.
