Moms Night Out 2 Donate & Dine

Photobucket

Last month, a friend of mine asked if i'd be willing to donate some blood? I've been poked and proded and have had lots of blood drawn in my lifetime;  however, i have never shown up prepared to donate it altruistically. Being brave, i accepted her challenge and was off for my 'first time'! (Especially once i heard that my donation will save three lives!)

We had hoped to have a larger group to donate, but 3 ladies = 9 lives... so it was still a pretty good turnout. We hope that more Ladies will be able to join us the next time the clinic is in town! (That's November 4th-- Airdrie, Alberta!)

If joining us is something you think you'd like to do, shoot me an email at sami@platinum.ca .

OR, create your own group of Moms and do the same in your city! (Click HERE to find location info.) Donate blood then go have a fabulous dinner out! How can you not want to do that?

Of course, i do understand that not all people are able to donate blood for numerous reasons. So even if you can't donate, you can certainly cheer on your Ladies and feast out too!

*Sign up online to become a stem cell donor too!  The process is easy and only requires a swabbing of your mouth. Click HERE to read more about One Match.*

Your gift is needed always.

Comments

I had an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured about 8 years ago and almost bled to death. I received 5 units of blood. I'd be more than happy to do this with you.

I'm not allowed to donate but would love to cheer you guys on! Hopefully I don't pass out. Also, can you sign me up anyways? Maybe my blood pressure will be high enough to donate that night!!
